Mijn naam is Anne-Mieke en dit is mijn fotoblog.

Met mijn foto’s wil ik graag de schoonheid in gewone dingen, plaatsen, situaties en mensen benadrukken. Zonder enorm te photoshoppen. Bulten op neuzen en glimmende kinnen hebben ook hun charme, en een duffe boom vind ik helemaal niet oninteressant en hoeft van mij niet opgepimpt te worden tot een glamour-geval. Laat hem maar mooi duf staan zijn.

My name is Anne-Mieke and this is my photoblog.

I like emphasizing beauty in every day things, places, situations, people by photographing them. I do not like extravagant photoshopping, most of the time. Not because I don’t like fiddling around with editing software, I do, but only for small, inevitable changes. I wánt to see the bump on your nose or the way your cheeks shine to the point that you’d want to cover them with those facial blothing papers from the Bodyshop. And I don’t want an old tree to look like a fake plastic tree from space, just because the dark green seemed too boring.

I still have to find my style and my focus and still know little about the technics of photography. But I’m eager to learn and look forward to working on this.
